Speakers

Andrea Hopson

Director/Physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Innovation
Specialising in Women’s Health
The importance of postnatal screening, the recommended guidelines, symptoms of dysfunction, and how to prepare your postpartum body before returning to exercise.

After graduating from the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Credit in 2007 Andrea worked at Waikato District Health Board.  An opportunity to live and work in Western Australia for four years with the support of Diane Lukasiewich enabled her to pursue further post-graduate training completing the Discover the Physio Series with Dr Linda-Joy Lee, specialised Women's Health training with Taryn Hallam from the Women's Health Training Associates and all four levels of the DMA Clinical Pilates Programme with Craig Phillips.  Andrea would not be the clinician she is today without the training and mentorship from these world renowned physiotherapists.  Andrea is also trained in Kinesio Taping and Superficial Dry Needling.

Andrea is on a crusade to provide high quality specialised physiotherapy services to normal everday New Zealanders and she is passionate about improving the way her clients live and feel about their bodies.  Her approach is unique, consistent and honest.

Jessica Gamblin

Director/Osteopath Jessica Gamblin Osteopath

Passionate about working with Mother & Child
How osteopathy can benefit you & baby in preventing common complaints often seen in the postnatal period.

Jessica is passionate about Osteopathy and holistic healthcare. Born in London, she had an interesting upbringing raised by alternative parents (a homoeopath and jazz musician!) whilst attending a German international school. She was first exposed to Osteopathy in a natural health centre, where she worked as a customer advisor and receptionist.

Fascinated by the osteopathic concept that a person’s wellbeing is interlinked with the flow and mechanics of the body, Jessica chose to train at the European School of Osteopathy (UK) in 2006; a school renowned for its diverse and holistic approach to treatment and one of the few institutions that train osteopaths in paediatrics and maternity care at an undergraduate level.

Jessica has been happily living in NZ since early 2012 and currently works as part of the Family Osteopaths team in Papamoa, regularly supporting many mums and babies alike!
