A Postnatal massage is a relaxing, well-deserved treat for the new mother, and a solution to pain and tension problems which can stem from pregnancy or your new life with a baby.
A relaxing Postnatal Massage allows you to de-stress and re-energise your body after the long pregnancy. You may also need to reduce some specific pain or tension following your pregnancy.
Having a baby can put all sorts of pressure on the body and mind so it’s extremely important for mum to look after herself, as well as baby. It’s your time to just be.
A Postnatal Massage also helps mums with adjusting to the new demands placed on the body such as feeding, carrying and new sleep patterns. Key massage areas can be targeted and you may wish to focus on areas such as the hips, upper back, neck and shoulders to assist you with your new way of life with your baby. Manipulating key pressure points loosens up any tight areas and eases pain and tension.
We assess your posture and movement and, at the end of the session, we provide simple postural cues and exercises which you can do at home to help. We love to advise all our mums on simple exercises and tips that are easy to do and can make the world of difference.
